WORLD HAPPINESS DAY - Class 1:

World Happiness Day - 20thMarch

Every year on March 20, the United Nations celebrates the International Day of Happiness. With our planet experiencing unprecedented challenges, it is more important than ever to be happy. The purpose of the International Day of Happiness is to raise awareness on the value of happiness in one's life and the overall impact it can have on a person's well-being.“Build Back Happier” is the theme for 2022, and it is aimed at achieving global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

In celebration of World Happiness Day, MSB Educational Institute’s students of Class 1 spent a week doing exuberant activities to bring a smile on faces and spread happiness around them. The activities commenced with an interaction with the children, explaining the importance of Happiness in our lives and in the lives of people in the world. Students were briefed about the World Happiness Day, when it is celebrated and the theme for this year.

The students made a Happiness Jar by decorating a glass jar with smileys and stars. They created a Joy list by writing one thing that made them happy on that day and putting it in the jar, which they carried home on the last day of the week.

Circle time activity was conducted where a Story on Happiness was shared by the teacherusing puppets and the worries of the children were eaten away by the worry eater, with whom the children shared their worries.

Children enjoyed their PE class with ‘Happiness through Yoga’.

To lighten the mood in classroom and also to bring out a positive vibe in learning sessions, an interactive board on Math (Pun) was put up and children of all classes were invited to be a part of it by giving answers

Children illustrated Happiness by doing a worksheet on ‘What makes me Happy’.

The children recited the poem ‘Hathi Aaya’ and happily sang “Happy Day, it’s a Happy Day’ and ‘When you’re Happy and you know it’. They also got acquainted with numerous new Happiness vocabularies which they used every day in making sentences.

They kinesthetically designed ‘Thank You’ cards for the non-teaching staff members and gave it to them along with a small gift to extend their gratitude.

The celebration culminated with the dua presentation ‘Main Khush Chu’.

The students of Class 1 had a cheerful experience that proved the importance of Happiness.
